Linda has a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University, an Elementary Diploma from the Washington Montessori Institute, and an MA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from Teachers’ College at Columbia University.
Linda began jazz dance lessons with Annette Rosenthal at the Dance Arts Centre in Port Washington, NY at age ten. A year later she and her mother joined a tap class – Mom enthusiastically, Linda reluctantly. She discovered rhythm tap in college when she met Josh Hilberman and became part of Wesleyan On Tap. Linda’s other teachers include Jacqui Malone (jazz dance), and Kathleen Mulkerin and Kathy Carew (Irish dance).
A move to the Philadelphia area gave Linda the opportunity to return to tap dance, studying with Pamela Hetherington and Jaye Allison. During Quarantine, she studied remotely with Karen Callaway. Other teachers include Jacqui Malone, Robin Tribble, Kathleen Mulkerin, and Kathy Carew.
She is grateful for the opportunity to dance with JADA, which she joined in 2019. Performance credits with JADA include Something’s Afoot! in NYC and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. She loves working with and learning from the entire company.
She and her spouse have raised three wonderful sons, none of whom dance.
Her motto is: “All for one and one for all. Do not slip and do not fall.”
